National Teachers Day in Cameroon is unique, comprised of traditional music, cultural dances, a march-past and sports.

As a way of appreciation, a legislation was passed to make this day a public holiday because the state understands how vital their teachers are for the future Cameroon.

Teachers from all over the country gather in cities with a special dress code.

Different groups present their fashionable clothes and get awards for the most uniquely dressed. To commemorate the day, reception and relaxation follows at restaurants,snack bars and clubs.
